Short codes from bbPress not showing up

New Member
Running a sandbox on a local Win10 workstation. Testing bbPress in WordPress. When I place the ElementorPro shortcode widget and assign the Forums shortcode nothing shows up when I preview the page. If I go back and do the shortcode placement using the WP editor, the correct content appears. Why?

Also, anyone know any work-arounds to use elementor to edit the layout of the bbPress pages?
