Nav Menu on Mobile opens submenu when Hamburger is toggled

In Mobile view - my Nav Menu's sub-menu opens immediately when the hamburger toggle is on. How do I get it to stay closed until the drop-down parent is chosen?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

How do I keep that sub-menu closed Until someone chooses Alliance Partners? Why does it open automatically?

I tried to just make that an accordion in a different section so I could control it, but I'm told that now it makes the page look too cluttered.

Thank you. I am using Pro. I finally created an accordion, kept the first tab blank so it won't open, and created my own menu with links in the second tab.

It's not perfect, but it does work...
