Form condition / custom action after submit ?

New Member
Hi everyone,

I'm trying to do something that looks very simple, but I can't find how to achieve it.
I'd like to use a form not to send an email, but to check an answer (for an online riddle). All I want is a single text field, a submit button, and if the answer is correct, either display a link or redirect to this link.

I manage to do that manually by doing a simple HTML form and PHP code in a snippet, but the problem is that when it submits the form, it reloads the page so it gets back to the top. It would be better in AJAX, but I don't know how to use that.

I get that Elementor's form widget is in AJAX. I can get visually everything I want, I can send data to a billion services, but I can't just compare a value to a reference ? Is it possible, hidden somewhere ? Or can a custom webhook help me ? If yes, where can I find some help to get what I need ?

Thanks a lot for your help !

I am trying to achieve something similar. I want to trigger an action but only if a certain form field was checked/activated. I can do this by programming my own custom action after submit but the problem is that I would only be able to use the condition in one action. This condition functionality seems more like a feature that stands above the actions but I don't see such a feature at the moment.

So my question is if such a feature is planned for the future or if there's a good workaround for that?

I would be glad to hear from you.
