Cannot vertically align header elements of Nav menu and Social icons

I'm working on header design, and have a problem. The left header element of Nav menu is fine, but the right header elements of phone number and Social icons won't align middle, and the background color doesn't fill completely. I've set all the columns to Middle VT alignment, but the phone number and Social icons still top align. I'm just trying for one solid background color and middle alignment.

I'm obviously missing something, but I don't know what. All help is welcome.
