Question Are pictures indexable?

Hi,

I am wondering if the pictures that are in a widget containers ( I have a row three blocks with headings and pictures in) are indexable by google. I am carefully naming them all and then when i right click in live view you cannot save the image, rather the page!

Have i wasted my time?
