accessing checkbox form element that has no label

New Member
I can't find an answer for this issue. How do I access a checkbox form element that has no label? I don't want a label because the option string makes the checkbox purpose explicitly clear - in fact having both label and option string looks amateurish.

String form fields can be accessed in php like:

$newpass = $form_data['New Password'];

but the checkbox is neither a string field (guessing it's boolean) nor does it have a label.
So how can it be accessed? Plenty of googling has not yielded an answer.

Thanks for your help.
